Johnny Young

Electric Mandolin

The mandolin had been a featured instrument in blues string bands for many decades, but Mississippi native John O. Young was the first and best blues artist to plug in and rock with the special sound. In this clip, Johnny swings before the Grant Park audience with his crowd-pleasing "One More Time."
